Safety Training for Employers Serving Michigan’s Workers With Barriers to Inclusion
ACCESS SAFETY is a statewide program that develops and delivers workplace safety and health training to Incompass Michigan members. Funded by a grant from the MIOSHA –Consultation Education and Training Division, this training can be presented both on-site, in person, and as web-based seminars delivered via the internet. Training clearly and graphically represents workplace hazards and safe work practices for community rehabilitation organizations, the workers they serve, and the staff who support them.
ACCESS SAFETY presents training to suit the requirements of the target audience, with programs that employers can retain and utilize on an ongoing basis. Such targeted, relevant, site-specific safety training is available through no other resource for organizations serving people with disabilities and other barriers.
It is our collective responsibility to ensure that safety is an integral part of the employment and training services provided by community based organizations. Take advantage of these valuable training resources!
