Coaching Skills for On-the-Job Trainers
Unlock the keys to empowering individuals with disabilities to thrive in the workplace. Our program offers real-world success stories, and inclusive strategies. Flexible, online, and certification is given after the completion of all courses.

DESCRIPTION
Trainings will be held via Zoom from 2:00 – 4:00 pm each day.
Sessions will be recorded. You will need to purchase “All 4 sessions + recording” ticket. The recordings will be available on our LMS for 2 months, and only available to that registrant. We will not be offering singular session recordings at this time.
This course is created for those who assist persons with disabilities during their job, such as job coaches or vocational rehabilitation specialists.
This 4 session, (8 hour) training series will address the skills necessary to be an effective job coach. At the end of 4 sessions attendee will receive a certificate. Although recommended, you do not need to register for all 4 sessions.
July 16: General Disability Awareness and Characteristics of Autism
Attendee will be provided information on disability statistics in Michigan, including employment data. Disability will be discussed, specifically autism and characteristic commonly observed.
July 18: Assessing Needs and Communicating with Your Team
Attendee will learn about the role of a job coach and the importance of assessing the workplace, trainee production, social skills, and how to use task analysis in the assessment process. Communication strategies with your team, including the trainee will discussed.
July 23: Strategies, Natural Supports and Accommodations
Attendee will learn about a wide variety of evidenced-based strategies that can be used to ensure trainee success at their job.
July 25: The Fading Process and Importance of Documentation
Attendee will learn that fading is much more than reducing time with the trainee. Timelines, strategies and problem solving will be discussed. They will be provided a variety of tools on how to document services provided and progress. Attendee will learn the importance of documentation and the expectations of referral sources.

Per Session: $90 non-members | $65 members
All 4 Sessions: $325 non-members | $215 members
All 4 Sessions + Recordings: $345 non-members | $250 members Access to recordings is only available with this option.

TO TAKE THIS TRAINING ATTENDEES NEED
A computer that can use Zoom, a microphone, and camera. For the On-Demand content, not only will you need a computer, but you will be given an account to access our Learning Management System. Recordings will only be available for 3 months.
Attendees will be provided a digital handout of the PowerPoint and a packet of resource materials for each session.
