Social Enterprise Webinar Series

April 12, 19 and 26 from 10:00-Noon

Incompass Michigan is partnering with the Small Business Association of Michigan to offer a new training series to support members interested in launching or growing their Social Enterprise ventures. Roundtable discussions among attendees will also provide opportunities for learning about existing social enterprises across the state of MI, exploring community partnerships and collaborations for sustainable social impact, and the potential for collaborations among our respective members on employment-related social enterprises. Implicit Bias – Virtual – 1 SW Ethics CEU Approved

May 1, 2024. Many clients with disabilities and from other diverse populations are impacted by implicit bias in the workplace, community, and within our own service settings. This 1-hour virtual training will assist professionals in overcoming ethical obstacles involving implicit bias by increasing multi-cultural competencies and providing best practices. Leadership Foundation 

May 16-17, 2024. The Leadership Foundation provides a critical set of skills for those just entering their leadership journeys. While not required, it is a recommended pre-requisite to the Leadership Academy for those with less hands on leadership experience and a high desire to grow. Click here for more information.

July 16-25 2024. This is four 2-hour sessions, (8 hours total) training series will address the skills necessary to be an effective job coach. Scheduling for 2024. This 1-hour virtual course on the Culture of Gentleness helps creates an environment that is safe, where all individuals begin to feel loved and thereby become loving and that establishes a connection. Please contact Katie Kinde at kkinde@incompassmi.org for more information.

Helping Families See Possibilities in Competitive Employment – 1 SW CEU  

Scheduling for 2024. This training conducted by Menachem Hojda and April Mauro will be held again soon. Attendees will be empowered to work more effectively with families who have a loved one with a significant disability. Using an understanding of how disability can impact someone’s employment outlook, and how families can become ambivalent about their loved one engaging in competitive integrated independent employment, attendees will learn to use listening and empathy to better support the change process. Q. How do I access my member account? 

A. Members can log in here. To see a sign-in tutorial, click here.

Once you are logged in, you can also log in to LMS with the same credentials. If you cannot remember your password, please contact Katie Kinde, kkinde@incompassmi.org, she will assist with resetting your password.

Q. As a member, how can I receive an invoice for training events? 

A. Members can press the “invoice me” button on the second page during registration. The invoice will be sent automatically via email. To see a tutorial, click here.

Q. As a non-member, how can I receive an invoice for training events? 

A. For non-members, please contact Katie Kinde, kkinde@incompassmi.org, she will assist with making a guest account in order to create an invoice. To see a tutorial, click here.

Q. How do I request accommodations? 

A. For training events, you can find an accommodation form on each event ticket (on the second page in the registration process). For LMS accommodations, please contact Katie Kinde, kkinde@incompassmi.org.

Q. As a member, how do I access the LMS? 

A. You must first be logged in to the member portal. There, you will find a button to access the LMS. Members can log in here. To see a tutorial, click here.

Q. How can I receive assistance navigating LMS?
