  • ESP Workforces Brief: Finding and investing in the right people for the ESP roles is critical for building agency capacity to efficiently deliver high quality services to facilitate ICIE. Attracting and hiring the right people is the first step. Then, investing in their success with advanced training and effective supervision must follow to ensure high performance and long-term retention.
  • Job Coaching Brief: Fading means carefully planned, incremental, reductions in job coaching support over time, occurring at a reasonable pace as the job coach successfully trains and supports the employee to gain the skills, independence and confidence to do their job.
  • Value of CIE Brief: Individualized competitive integrated employment (ICIE) creates clear value for people with disabilities, employers, and public funders of supported employment services. Research shows that ICIE is linked to better economic stability, health, quality of life, independence, and community inclusion for people with disabilities, while also helping employers meet workforce needs. For public funders, ICIE represents a high-value investment because effective employment services can improve outcomes, reduce long-term reliance on paid supports, and lessen the broader personal and public costs of unemployment.
